The following topics outline important information for all student athletes participating in the WHS athletics program. Please review all of this information and contact the Athletics Office if you have questions.
Health & Safety
In order to participate in Weymouth athletic programs, students are required to complete:
- Physical Exam Form: Required annually before participation. Please contact your medical provider to obtain a copy of your most recent physical and submit it to the WHS Nurse. In order to be considered current and valid, it must have occurred within the last thirteen (13) months. Please see the Athletic Guide for more information.
- Concussion Protocol / ImPACT Testing: Student-athletes will be required to complete this MIAA-mandated concussion screening before practicing/competing.

- WHS Athletics Guide: All student-athletes must read and agree to the terms of this document.
- Athletic Training: Weymouth has a dedicated on-staff athletic trainer to support student-athlete needs and be available during home competitions.
Additional Health & Safety Resources:
- Travel Release Form: Student-athletes are required to travel to and from away competitions with their team on the school bus. Students may request a waiver for special circumstances when a parent is able to provide transportation. This requires advance approval by the Athletic Director.

Registration & Fees
To support our extensive Athletics programming, our budget is supplemented by user fees ($200-$450 per student per season, depending on the sport) and gate fees collected during varsity games.
- Weymouth School Committee Policy JQ: Student Fees, Fines & Charges
- Current WPS Fee Schedule (Athletics User Fees: $200 per sport; $250 for football; $400 for hockey)
- Financial Assistance Form: Please complete and submit this to the WHS Gold Office to request reduced or waived user fees.
- Dreamcatcher Scholarship: Supports student-athletes in need of financial assistance.
